Pas de Deux IV, Alex Katz, 1983

Vicki Hudspith and Wally Tuberville

A New York City resident, Vicki Hudspith recently performed with Bob Holman and Jackie Sheeler in the 2003 Wall-to-Wall Joni Mitchell festival.  Later that same year, Vicki reunited with Holman along with Anne Waldman to give tribute to John Lennon in the John Kruth production of Imagine No Handguns, in efforts to raise money to get handguns off of the streets of New York City.
Hudspith is widely known for being an ingenious poet who in 2002, released her first collection of musical poetry with her groundbreaking CD, “Urban Voodoo,” a spoken word CD of poems, words and lyrics, which transcend into urban songs over the music of percussionist Daniel Freedman.  Her poems were also included in the Poetry After 9/11: An Anthology of New York Poets
Prior to Pas de Deux’s release, Hudspith joined forces with Alex Katz in 1982 while directing the play Shopping and Waiting for which Katz designed the set.
