Artist Philippe Bertho to debut his latest work and newly released full color monograph during his October 2008, All you need is 'Love' Tour.

Greenwich, CT —Artist Philippe Bertho will be on tour throughout the United States beginning in La Jolla, CA on Thursday, October 16th. One-man exhibitions of his work will also take place in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Newport Beach and La Jolla, CA, Seattle, New York City, Boston, MA, Oakbrook, IL, New Orleans, LA and Dallas, TX throughout the month of October.

Shows will feature new original acrylic on canvas works, his latest hand-signed limited edition serigraphs on canvas, a series of small scale hand-crafted lithographs produced by world renowned Parisian lithographer, Art Estampe, as well as the newly released 135 page full color monograph, In the Mind’s Eye, featuring over 100 of his latest works. Bertho, who hails from the Britanny region of France, has stated that he is very much looking forward to visiting with his collectors in the States.

Considered a master of the trompe l’oeil style of painting, Philippe Bertho is known for his fresh variations on the theme of modern man’s daily interaction with life. Influenced by a number of important modern masters, Bertho’s paintings feature figures that are self-portraits or images of his friends in exaggerated predicaments that mimic the complexities of modern situations. His inclusion of recurring poses and props such as bubbles, circles and inner tubes is a contemporary blend of Pop Art.
