Beverly Hills premier gallery of fine art, Martin Lawrence Galleries, will offer an exciting collection of original paintings, drawings, prints and sculpture during an evening art auction on Friday, April 4th, at the Sofitel Los Angeles Hotel, Opus Ballroom, at 8555 Beverly Boulevard. A generous portion of the proceeds will be donated directly to the local nonprofit organization, Concern Foundations.
With an exceptional array of fine artworks, Martin Lawrence Galleries is celebrating its first collaboration with Concern Foundations of Los Angeles. More than 200 decorative and fine pieces will be offered by contemporary artists as well as 20th Century masters including an original painting, Untitled 1985, San Leandro by Sam Francis valued at $110,000. Other exceptional pieces include Chagalls The Artist at the Village, Ertes Symphony in White, Kerry Hallams Mediterranean Port, Keith Harings Growing #4, Roy Lichtensteins Bicentennial, Henri Matisses Hindoue a la Jupe de Tulle, Toulouse-Lautrecs La Troupe de Mlle. Églantine, as well as original and printed works by Andy Warhol. Other works by eminently affordable decorative and popular artists will be available including artwork by Leroy Neiman, Peter Max, Kerry Hallam, Thomas McKnight, Liudmila Kondakova, Michel Delacroix, Mark Kostabi, Burton Morris, James Rizzi and others. Concern Foundation is a LA based non-profit organization, established in 1968, to fund pediatric and adult cancer researchers worldwide. With nearly 92% of the net proceeds going directly to critical research, Concern has funded over 500 researchers studying many forms of cancer. In addition, Concern sponsors fund-raising events and hosts activities in support of children with cancer.
During the reception, guests can enjoy complimentary hors doeuvres and cocktails. The art preview begins at 6:30pm; the auction begins promptly at 8:00pm. The event is free and open to the public, though seating is limited as the event generally draws very large support from the local community. Color catalogues are available prior to the auction through the gallery. Works can be acquired using all major credit cards, including a no interest, no payment plan provided through the Martin Lawrence Galleries Collectors Club finance card.
